About Hazardous Waste Management at Georgia Tech

The Office of Hazardous Materials is responsible for the management of the hazardous waste generated on campus. Our primary goal is to ensure the safe collection, segregation, and disposal of hazardous waste, as well as some non-hazardous regulated waste on campus.  This includes, but not limited to, chemical and biological waste from labs and other waste generated through facilities operations, such as spent light bulbs, used oil, and unused paint.
