Alerts show up on a user's home screen.

To set up an alert for an entire permissions group:

1. Click on "Alerts" then "Group Alerts" in the lower right hand corner of the main page
2. Click "Add"
3. Fill in the following:
   1. Permissions group - you can only choose 1 (but could make the same alert for multiple groups)
   2. Description - what you want the alert to say
   3. Due date - end date alert will show up
   4. Warning date - initial date alert will show up
   5. Type - BIO, CHEM, RAM, or General
4. Click "Save"
