Generate Report
- Click on "Inspections" in the admin menu
- Under "Reports", click "Laser Inspection Results"
- Click the link for the report you want to generate and send.
- A "Report Parameters" box will pop up.
- Fill in the date range for the laser inspection
- Type in "last name, first name" of the Laser Supervisor in the "researcher" field
- Click "View Report"
- The report will appear in a new browser tab
E-mail Report to Laser Supervisor
- At the top left of the report browser tab, click "E-mail Burst"
- An "E-mail Burst Preview" window will open
- Click on the "Available Burst Groups" field and select "Researchers/PIs"
- Click "Next"
- Check the box in the "Burst?" column for the row the Laser Supervisor appears
- Click the "E-mail" tab
- Select "Reports" from the "Category" field
- Select the "Laser Inspection Results Letter" e-mail template from the "Template" drop-down menu
- Click "Email Body (cont.) if you wish to modify the email text from the default.
- Change the "From" field to your e-mail address
- Ensure the RSO and LSO e-mail addresses appear in the "CC" field. It is also appropriate to manually enter the e-mail address of additional individuals (such as a student or staff member that was present for the inspection in lieu of the Laser Supervisor).
- Click the "Attached Reports" tab and ensure the report is displaying.
- Click the "Send" button.
- Click on the "Status/Send Selected" tab to see the send history. There will be a message indicating whether the message was sent successfully or not.
- Click "Cancel" to exit the report bursting mode
- Close the browser tab to exit the report
