All permits must be numbered according to a convention, which is a letter followed by the PI Code (PIC). Bio permits add additional information after the PIC.

Permit Numbering convention:

To add a permit to a PI

1. Click on "PI and Permit Information" in the top menu
2. Click on "PI & Permit Information"
3. FInd the row containing the PI to which you want to add a permit and click the small black arrow to the left of the last name.
4. Click "+Add" and select the correct permit type from the drop-down list.
5. Enter the permit number in the "Permit #" field according to the convention in the table above
6. Set the "Permit Status" to "Active"
7. Enter information in other available fields as desired.
