EHSA provides the ability to take on the identity of any user in the database.  This is particularly helpful when configuring what should be available for a person assigned to a particular group or groups.  After a change is made to the permissions for a group, you can take on the identity of a person assigned to that group and make sure that everything shows up as expected.  The following steps tell how to take on a user identity.

  1. Log in to EHSA at http://ehsa.gatech.edu.
  2. Click on "Other" in the top admin menu bar.
  3. Under the "Administration" grouping, click "Users".
  4. Search for the user by typing their name in the "Name" field and then hitting the "Tab" or "Enter" key on your keyboard.
  5. Single-click the row containing the name of the person of which you would like to take their identity.
  6. Click on the "Take on User's Identity" button near the top of the screen.
  7. You will see a box pop up with the message "Assume new Identity? Logout to revert back to original Identity."
  8. Click "OK" in this box.
  9. You will be directed to the EHSA home screen.  You should notice that the admin menu across the top of the screen is now gone and you will only see the PI menu icons in red across the screen.
  10. To go back to your own Identity, you need to log out of EHSA and log back in.
