A waste container is a drum, storage cabinet, truck load of bio waste, or similar administrative designation.

  1. Click "EHSA".
  2. Click "Waste".
  3. Click "Chemical Waste Containers" under the "Chemical Waste" heading.
  4. Click "+Add"
  5. If you want to start with the default values for a type of container (generator, storage type, etc.), select it from the drop-down menu. To start from scratch, click "Cancel".
  6. Enter the container number in the "Container/Drain #" field. (PROBABLY NOT CURRENT)
    • Bio waste truckloads: 5 digit number from top right of the bio-hazardous waste manifest sheet
    • Chemical shipments: "year-month-2 digit incremental number" (e.g., 2017-07-13 indicates the 13th container created/shipped in July 2017)
    • Others: ???
  7. Select the "Waste Generator".

  8. Select the "Storage Type"
  9. Select the type of waste container being used for this container number in the drop-down menu for "Container Type".
  10. Select the "Waste Type"
  11. Select the "Volume" and associated "Unit"
  12. Select the "Building" and the "Location" (room number)
  13. Click "Save"
