There are occasions a radioactive source is shipped to an organization external to Georgia Tech via license transfer. Typically these will be return-shipped to Georgia Tech, but not always. The documentation process for these license transfers mirrors the typical waste documentation process that includes
- Creating an In-Lab RAM Waste Container, which in these cases will be the shipping container.
- Adding the source to the In-Lab RAM Waste Container (shipping container) and sealing the container.
- Printing and filing the Form G
- After shipment, transferring the In-Lab RAM Waste Container contents to the EXTERNALyyyy container.
